12K PTAC
If your apartment has a metal sleeve in the wall (typical of 80s/90s NYC mid-rises), you have a PTAC. We replace yours with a quieter, more efficient unit — installation takes under 30 minutes because the existing sleeve and electrical are already in place. The heat-pump option doubles as supplemental heat in shoulder seasons when building heat hasn't kicked in yet.
Highlights
- Fits standard 42-inch PTAC sleeves
- Optional heat pump for shoulder seasons (October & April)
- Quieter than your old PTAC, guaranteed
- 24-month manufacturer warranty
Will this fit my room?
Add 10% if your room has 9-ft+ ceilings, south/west sun exposure, or kitchen heat load. Subtract 10% if you keep blackout curtains closed.
What it'll cost to run
Based on ConEd’s ~$0.32/kWh residential summer rate and average NYC use patterns. Inverter units track lower; sun-facing rooms track higher.
How loud is it?
Moderate. About background office noise (60 dB)
